(TIFTON, Ga.) — National Lemonade Day is a little sweeter at Legacy Village of Tifton thanks to local 10 year old Emma Griffin.
“When Emma was little, her favorite drink was lemonade,” said her father Chris Griffin. “She would call it ‘Lemmalade.’One night she spilled lemonade and giggled saying that she 'spilled
Emma, along with her mother, Sabrina, and Chris, started bringing Emma-lade to Legacy Village when Emma was only five years old. Chris originally had to place the stand on a street curb just so that she could see over it.
“When Emma first started her stand, we took the residents on a country ride one Saturday to surprise her,” said Misty McDuffie, Legacy Village Life Enrichment Coordinator, “They really love when they see her stand set up. Emma also serves lemon pound cake and lemon drops.”
“Emma really enjoys serving and spending time with the residents,” said McDuffie. “I know that the residents love to see her and her Emma-lade treats as well.”
