Legacy Village of Tifton Donates Ear Guards to Tift Regional Medical Center to Alleviate Medical Mask Abrasion
TIFTON, Ga. (April 17, 2020) – Many things have changed since the introduction of COVID-19 to south Georgia. One big change is the need to wear medical masks during entire daylong shifts, typically two masks at a time, which is causing painful abrasions on the ears of those in healthcare settings.
In addition to providing ear guards to its entire caregiving team, Legacy Village of Tifton has procured additional bundles of ear guards for employees at Tift Regional Medical Center, whose ears are needing similar relief from the painful elastic straps on their medical masks.
“We work so closely with Tift Regional in caring for our residents, that we wanted to be able to give a little something back during this time. We know their doctors, nurses, and entire staff are fighting this worldwide pandemic with all their hearts and souls, and we want them to know how much we appreciate them and everything they are doing to keep our community safe,” said Natalie Wadsworth, LPN, resident services director at Legacy Village of Tifton.
